BRIEF HISTORY OF GCC
In 1998 the Lord showed the founding Pastor of this church Rev/Dr. Harris Gichuhi a vision of a thriving church here in Garden but it was not until the year 2008 that he moved in and started the church as a home fellowship. The original number of four families, namely Chuck & Bonnie Ness, John & Annie Martin, Alex & carol Ng’ang’a and Harris & Florence Gichuhi, held weekly home fellowship meetings every Thursday evening from June 2008 to January 2009, as the number continued to grow.
The construction of the sanctuary was meanwhile going on by divine providence. KAG New Beginnings GCC was launched on Saturday January 24, 2009. The first Sunday January 25, 2009 had an amazing attendance of 80 adults and children. The founding Pastor’s burden was to plant an English speaking church to meet the needs of Thome community and beyond.
On November 16th 2024 the founding Pastor Rev. Dr. Harris Gichuhi retired from the leadership of the church and handed over this mantle to Rev. Simon Karuga Macharia. GCC continues to thrive as one of the leading Kenya Assemblies of God churches in Nairobi.

We are a community that is growing in grace through the transforming power of the preaching and exposure to the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit .
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose as a local church is to be a gospel lighthouse in the neighbourhood and a mission power house. We endeavor to be examples of true disciples of Christ, a community of believers who radiate the lights of the gospel of Christ by living a life of total devotion and commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
